To those without their Dad this Father’s Day,
I see you. I feel the ache in your heart that no amount of words could ever erase. While the world is busy buying gifts and making plans, you're just trying to get through the day without falling into pieces.
I know you would give anything to hear his voice again, to ask him that one thing you never got the chance to, or just to sit beside him and give him a hug. Maybe the memories bring both happiness and sadness, reminding you that the love you have for him will never die.
Your Dad may not be here physically, but his love still lives on in the way you live your life. In the way you face the hard days, and most importantly, in the way that you remember him. That kind of bond does not end.
Grief has a way of making these days feel extra hard. So, I hope you try your best not to let Father’s Day be only about what is missing. I hope you also let it be about what will never fade away. The lessons he taught you, the strength he left you with, the way he loved you.. and the way you love him.
Do whatever your heart needs to do. Say his name. Tell his stories. Light a candle. Take a walk. Cry. Laugh. Remember. Honor him in your own way
and know that he would be so proud of you.
Give yourself grace and allow yourself to feel it all.. the grief, the gratitude, the anger, the love.. because missing your Dad this much means that he meant the world to you.. he still means the world to you..and always will.
