Losing your mom is like losing such a big piece of yourself and of your heart. It’s more than just losing the person who raised you.. it’s losing the one who knew you to your core.
She’s the one who brought you into this world, the one who understood parts of you that not even you, yourself, could understand. She’s the one who walked with you through every wrong and guided you through every right.
When she's gone, it feels like a piece of you has gone with her, making everything feel dark and empty. There are so many moments she should be here for and so many things you want to share with her.
But grief isn’t about "getting over" her loss. I don’t think that you ever really get over losing your mom, no matter how long ago or how old you are.
If you’re here right now, I hope you know that you’re not alone... SO many of us are a part of this club that we never, ever wanted to join.
And if today is one of those days when it feels heavier than usual, let it feel heavy.. know that it’s okay to miss her this much and it's okay to feel that deep ache for her..
Because even though she’s gone, that love she gave to you—that love she still gives you...is a light that will never truly fade away.
